Thrifty Tips

What to wear when thrift store shopping:
1. Shoes
   Always wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off. Also, never trust TS floors, make sure you can stand on the tops of your shoes. I highly suggest a simple flat.
2. Jeans
   Skirts, dresses, etc are too much hassle to deal with. Keep it simple, with pants or jeans or shorts. But, wear your best pair! The ones you wear the most, you want to find things that look good with theses jeans. Since you'll be looking in the mirror, wear darker jeans because they are slimming. Plus they go with more things.
3. Tops
   ALWAYS wear a tank or cami underneath, incase of horrible (maybe dirty, ew) fabrics. Keep it simple with a v neck T, easy to slip on and off. Stray away from buttons, they take too long to put on and off. I hate having to get re-dressed just to grab more clothes, so make sure your basics are suitable enough to adventure back out into the store. Don't wear your favorite, most fashionable or most interesting shirt. No one there cares how you look, and you don't want to risk getting it dirty or snagged.
4. Coat/sweater
   Make sure they have zippers, hoodies are too difficult to deal with. Putting then on, off,on, off always messes up your hair. If it's raining, suck it up and bring an umbrella. Wear a light as possible coat, you want to be able to move around in the little corners of the store. Shopping makes you work up a sweat any who. Never double up on sweaters, it just is super difficult in hanging them up.
5. Under roos
   Leave the push up bras and thongs at home, but on the other hand don't wear your sports bra either. Just keep it simple with the normal under garments.
6. Hair
   Pull it back. If you're constantly running your hands through your hair, with your dirty hands from the store you're only making your hair greasy. Plus, when you try things on your hair will only get tangled anyway. Just pull it back to begin with, because you will end up doing so eventually.
7. Jewelry
   A simple earring will do. Don't wear long necklaces, they just get caught on hangers. Rings become a hassle also. You can't go wrong with an earring.
8. Bag
   NEVER bring a clutch, I've made that horrible mistake TOOO many times. You need your arms and hands free for the clothes. Wear one with a long strap, so it hits your hip. The closer the bag is to your shoulder, the more annoying it becomes.
9.Belt
   A high waist belt comes in handy when trying things on. Keep the color simple, like a black braid belt. Something you know you'll wear often enough.
10. No scarves, gloves, hates, etc.
11. Don't wear white
   This is for you make up wearers. If you're pulling your shirt over your face 20 times, your make up will get on your shirt. So, no light colors. You don't need to ruin a shirt, just to find another.
12. Ipod
   Wear something with pockets to put your ipod in. It makes it easier to keep listening to music while trying on clothes.
13. Dresses
   Summer is the only time this is acceptable, and if your shopping of another dress. Otherwise to wear jeans if your trying on tops.
